Today I’m sharing some of my favorite travel apps. I always have to make sure they are updated and ready for my travels.
My TSA – It’s a great and powerful little app that will keep you up to date on everything. You’ll know about all the delays and gate changes. It also has a great little area where you can access to let you know what you can and can’t take through TSA security. It can also let you know the approximate wait time through security at the airport you’ll be using.
FlightStats – This one is pretty much like the TSA except it’s more specific to your flight. It’ll give you delays, monitor the weather, and you can track your flight (or someone else’s flight) and even watch it travel through the globe. Seriously, how cool is that?
NPS (National Park Service App) – This one is a must for road trips. We like to stop at various parks to get out for a walk or to enjoy nature. Before we left for our last road trip, I downloaded the information for the area we were going (Grand Canyon) in case I didn’t have Internet access. My phone always has it, but my tablet doesn’t unless I’m connected. There’s a lot of helpful information with this one.
Tripit – Here is where you can organize your entire trip! Some items are automatically added to this app and some you add by forwarding your various reservations to the app after you receive it in your email. You can also manually add items for your trip for those things that you don’t get confirmations for.
There are a lot of travel apps out there. The above are a few of my favorites. I have a few more that I’ll share at another time.
